Utopia IV consists primarily of features cut into the subsoil. |

158 shovel test pits were used to sample topsoil and plowzone contexts
at Utopia IV prior to the mechanical removal of the remaining topsoil and
plowzone.

A sample of soil was collected and floted from each subfloor pit. Unlike Utopia III, 100 percent of the sediment from subfloor
pit was not floted.
