The simplest of slip decoration, Trailed is used to describe freehand slip decoration where the slip is applied to a vessel in straight and/or curved lines; nothing is done to the slip after it is laid down.
Note that only the color that is trailed onto the vessel is recorded in the Decorative Technique table. The white/yellow slip would be recorded in the Ceramic Interior Surface field and the brown trailed slip is recorded in the decorative technique table as shown.
